It was my first time at Abaseria Deli and Cafe yesterday, nor will it ever be my last ( I don't think so). When I looked into the place, I was fascinated by the warm and cozy atmosphere. It is a family owned restaurant that is slightly difficult to find as it is not near the main road, and you have to deliberately know where you're going to find it otherwise you might not find it at all. I was impressed with their decorations and even more surprised when I was informed that everything inside was for sale!
Yes, even the decors are for sale too! How nice, right? Their menu is a wide variety of home-cooked goodness. As you enter the place, the first thing you will be overwhelmed with is the homeliness of the place and the warm feel of everything around you as the sunlight hits the windows just right. There are shelves upon shelves of local goodies made in the Philippines which are amazingly delicious such as
Roasted Pili Nuts, Durian Jam, Malunggay Pesto, Chocolate Rhum Tobacco, Baeswax and Honey lip Balm,
locally brewed coffee and tea, Calamansi Marmalade, bottles of bagoong and Ilocos wine, among other things.
Some of the many things that you can buy here are food items like preserved goods, even fresh fruits, and local delicacies. The best part about this place is that they serve great tasting food. I'm not saying this because I had a great experience here, but really their food are so yummy! They offer delicious, authentic Filipino food which reminds you of home, but better because the ambiance adds to the whole experience. By the way, they also provides premises catering service for intimate parties such as anniversaries, birthdays, and the like. Here's a teaser of some of their popular dishes which I ate. Don't know their names though.

If you are asking about the price of the food, I assure you that it is worth on your pocket! Price ranges from 100-200 and up per dish, but the dishes are usually fit to share and the servings are generous. I only sampled a few of the dishes but everything I tried was delicious. Of course, I was happy and full! I would definitely come back to try other dishes which I wasn't able to eat. I'm planning on taking my friends maybe for snacks or for dinner. I would recommend everyone to make Abaseria one of your stops while in Cebu City. They are open daily:
